ABOUT US:

Dr. Bradley & Vanessa Sliedrecht

A general once said “we cannot defend the borders of foreign nations by neglecting your own”, and that led me to a vision of “taking the gospel to the nations starting in our communities.”

Dr. Bradley Sliedrecht is driven by a deep commitment to spread the transformative message of Jesus Christ globally. With a Ph.D in Theology and a Master's Degree in Divinity as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Leadership, emphasizing Advanced Biblical Studies and Christian Philosophy, alongside another Bachelor’s degree in Divinity with a focus on Evangelism, he brings a wealth of theological knowledge to his ministry. Alongside his family, Evangelist Bradley actively serves The Church in Saskatoon, channelling their collective passion for both spiritual growth and community outreach.

Pastor Israel Rivas

I want to speak on behalf of our beloved brother Brad Sliedrecht, he has been faithful to the calling of God in his life of being an evangelist, the Lord gave me the opportunity to work with him here in the north of Mexico, and also travel with him to South and Central America, and it has always been a pleasure and a privilege to work with him in small villages in the middle of nowhere, in Honduras or Ecuador, translating for him, preaching and working with him it has been a blessing, he's a fellow servant of the Lord, but I get to know him as a friend, he's never been controlling, or manipulative, always sharing the word of God as it is, with power and love, not being a burden anywhere he goes.

Reaching the world

"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life. They shall never perish, nor shall anyone snatch them from My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them from My Father’s hand. My Father and I are one.”"

- John 10:27-30 MEV

What We Believe

1. The Holy Scriptures

We believe that the Holy Bible—consisting of the Old and New Testaments—is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. Scripture is God-breathed, trustworthy in all that it affirms, and sufficient for faith, doctrine, and godly living.
The Bible is the final authority in all matters of belief and practice and must be interpreted through sound hermeneutical principles, allowing Scripture to interpret Scripture within its historical, literary, and redemptive context (2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21).

2. Theological Posture

We affirm the core doctrines of the historic Christian faith while allowing charitable discussion on secondary and non-essential matters. We teach with conviction, humility, and academic integrity, encouraging students to engage Scripture deeply, test theology responsibly, and grow in discernment without division. Unity in essentials, liberty in non-essentials, and charity in all things guides our theological approach.

3. The One True God

We believe in one eternal God, the Creator and Sustainer of all things, who exists eternally in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are coequal in essence, power, and glory, yet distinct in person and role.
God is holy, righteous, loving, sovereign, and faithful, and He alone is worthy of worship (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).

4. Jesus Christ

We believe in the full deity and full humanity of Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, performed mighty works, taught with divine authority, and revealed the Father perfectly.
Through His atoning death on the cross, He provided redemption for humanity. He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and now reigns as Lord, interceding for believers. He will return again in glory to judge the living and the dead (John 1:1–14; Philippians 2:6–11; 1 Corinthians 15:3–8).

5. The Holy Spirit

We believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, regenerates those who believe, indwells all believers, and empowers the Church for witness and service.
The Spirit distributes gifts according to His will for the edification of the body of Christ and produces fruit that reflects Christlike character. We affirm the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit and spiritual gifts as taught in Scripture, while rejecting manipulation, disorder, and any practice that diminishes the authority of Scripture or the centrality of Christ (John 14:16–17; Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:22–23).

6. Humanity and Sin

We believe that humanity was created in the image of God, with dignity, purpose, and moral responsibility. Through Adam’s disobedience, sin entered the world, resulting in spiritual death and separation from God.
All people are sinners by nature and by choice and are in need of divine grace for salvation (Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12).

7. Salvation

We believe that salvation is the gracious work of God, accomplished through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Salvation is received by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone—not by human works or merit.
Those who repent and believe are justified, regenerated, adopted into God’s family, and called to a life of holiness and obedience. True faith produces spiritual fruit and perseverance in Christ (Ephesians 2:8–10; Titus 3:5; James 2:17).

8. The Church

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all believers who are united by faith in Jesus Christ. The Church exists to worship God, proclaim the gospel, make disciples, nurture believers, and serve the world in love and truth.
We affirm both the universal Church and the local church as essential to God’s redemptive purposes (Matthew 28:18–20; Ephesians 4:11–16).

9. Ordinances

We believe that water baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances instituted by Christ for the Church. Baptism is an outward testimony of inward faith and identification with Christ’s death and resurrection. The Lord’s Supper is a sacred remembrance of Christ’s atoning work and a proclamation of His death until He comes again (Romans 6:3–4; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26).

10. The Kingdom of God

We believe that the Kingdom of God has been inaugurated through the life and ministry of Jesus Christ and will be consummated at His return. The Church lives in the tension of the “already and not yet,” proclaiming the gospel while awaiting the fullness of God’s reign.
We reject triumphalism and over-realized eschatology, affirming that suffering, perseverance, and faithful witness remain part of the Christian calling in this present age (Mark 1:15; Romans 8:18–25).

11. Marriage and Family:

We believe in the institution of marriage as a union established and ordained by God for the lifelong, intimate relationship between a man as husband and a woman as wife as biologically defined at birth. We believe that God instituted marriage primarily for mutual help, fellowship and comfort that one ought to have for the other and for honourable procreation of children, and their training in love, obedience to the Lord and responsible citizenship. (Genesis 2:18, 21-25; Matthew 19:4-6; 1 Corinthians 7:1-2).

12. Healing and God’s Power

We believe that God is able to heal and that divine healing remains part of God’s compassionate work today. We also affirm God’s sovereignty and wisdom, acknowledging that not all prayers for healing are answered in the same way or time.
Faith is not a mechanism to control God, and suffering is not always the result of personal failure or lack of faith. Our theology of healing remains Christ-centred, pastoral, and biblically balanced (James 5:14–16; 2 Corinthians 12:7–10).

12. Last Things (Eschatology)

We believe in the visible, bodily return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the dead, final judgment, and the eternal destiny of all people.
Those who belong to Christ will dwell eternally with God in the new heavens and the new earth, while those who reject Him face eternal separation. Our hope is rooted not in earthly prosperity, but in the resurrection and the promise of eternal life (1 Thessalonians 4:13–18; Revelation 21–22).

14. Christian Living and Discipleship

We believe that all believers are called to a life of holiness, humility, love, and obedience empowered by the Holy Spirit. Christian discipleship involves ongoing spiritual formation, submission to Scripture, participation in the local church, and faithful witness in word and deed.
Education at Karunya Bible Institute International exists to serve this discipleship mandate, shaping lives for long-term faithfulness rather than short-term success (Romans 12:1–2; Colossians 1:28).

Our Commitment

We are committed to faithful teaching of Scripture, academic seriousness without theological compromise, the formation of mature disciples rather than religious consumers, and service to the global Church, especially in underserved contexts.

We believe truth matters, character matters, and discipleship matters.
